Day at Vinzavod

We went to the art center area of Vinzavod, a Soho-like area in Moscow. We had a lot of fun looking through the various galleries and cafes.

Hi Alison and Larry, Just caught up on your blog; very fun reading. The comment about the high security at the synagogue reminded me of the heavily armed guards who were posted in St Petersburg outside the Barbie store. Yes, a whole store of Barbie dolls and paraphernalia, defended with AK-47s. No joke.

So what are your Passover plans?

We are going to Chabad for an English language seder. Then for night two, we are creating our own seder, a bare bones kind of thing...no chopped liver, no gefilte fish, none of those fruit candies from Brachs. But we have matza, horseradish, kosher wine and the sense that it will be memorable because it's in Russia.
